Over recent years Kowa has gradually expanded its range of Megapixel C-mount lenses with larger format lenses. higher resolution and lenses for high vibration and shock environments. All Kowa lenses for machine vision applications are designed and manufactured in Japan.

Here we show 2/3", 1" and 4/3" Kowa lenses for machine vision and factory automation from standard megapixel to 10 Megapixel that match the range of cameras commonly used today. These include megapixel/HD lenses with low distortion and new  ruggedized megapixel lens series.

XC Series  -  Megapixel  4/3" format

The XC-series is for sensor sizes up to 23 mm image circle. The resolution of this C-mount lens series is 160lp/mm in the center and thus matches perfectly with sensors such as the ON Semi KAI-08050 or CMOSIS CMV8000. This C-mount lens series includes six different models with focal lengths from 8 mm up to 50 mm.

Just as other machine vision lenses from Kowa this series is constructed to withstand high requirements on vibration, shock and temperature. All models are equipped with a special broadband coating for extraordinary transmission at NIR wave length.

Kowa's new HC-V-Series is made for use in high vibration and high shock environments. With a design based on Kowa's standard 1 inch HC-Series this ruggedized megapixel lens series is ideal for applications that require increased durability and high optical performance. All internal glass elements of this series are glued. A two way reversible nut is utilized to tightly lock the focus adjustment ring in place.

JC10M Series  -  10 MPixel 2/3" format

This extraordinary lens series with resolution of 200 lp/mm and extra low distortion will maximize the performance of high-end inspection systems. Incorporating Kowa's broad band coating and floating mechanism design, the JC10M-series greatly reduces chromatic aberration from close distance to infinity and maintains a high transmission from visible to NIR. The short minimum object distance and the compact design of these high end C-mount lenses allow for easy installation in compact machine vision cameras.
